Where have I been?

Here’s the soundtrack of this blog post: Such a great cover, if I might say so. Well, well, well. We see each other again in the internet-sphere. It’s been a few months since the alst time I’ve been actively online in any form of social media. Active in the sense of posting, commenting, liking content. To be fair, I have been lurking all this time, but uncappable of actually taking the first step towards interacting with people. And, this does not only apply to social media like Twitter (fuck X), Instagram, or TikTok, I’ve also been pretty absent in IM apps. Basically, I’ve felt like I ghosted most of the people who I don’t see on a daily basis. Why, you might ask. I am not entirely sure. ...

Ryoku, my unfinished life project

When I was younger I heard the story of an artist that killed himself in his art so that he could survive in real life. Living most of my life through the lenses of depression, that sounded like a way for me to save myself. That became the pillar of this project. Still, it’s a project that is still unfinished as I think subconciously I have been waiting to be in a better place to finish the project. ...

On Death and Moving On

Ever since I was little I’ve had a very irrational fear of death. It is a concept and an act that I can’t seem to understand at all. What happens after? Do we still feel something? Where do we go? Most importantly, do I watch the ones I love suffer my loss? I recently saw a video, can’t remember where it was from, but it was a Tumblr post of someone saying that they imagined death as getting carried by your parents to your bedroom when you fell asleep on the couch watching a movie or playing videogames as a kid. That resonated with me in a very deep level because if I have no way of knowing or understanding what comes after, I might as well make it my own. ...

Vegan Pan de Muerto Recipe

Halloween season, and specifically the 2nd of November, is a really imporant date for mexican folks. We celebrate a festivity called Day of the Dead, or Día de Muertos in spanish. It is a tradition in which we take a day to celebrate our loved ones that have passed away. We usually make ofrendas, which is a small altar with pictures of our loved ones and we fill it with food/things they used to really enjoy when they were alive. Among the food that is prepared throughout this season there is a type of bread called Pan de Muerto . It’s bread made out of orange flavored dough covered with sugar. It can vary in size, but it is usually round with small parts that resemble bones on top of the bread. It is very, very popular and very, very tasty. ...

Current Studio Setup

Last Updated: Nov 06, 2023 I am a software and game developer so I have tried to keep an updated enough rig that will allow me to work with 2D and 3D elements without issues, and to run the most current game engines. Apart from that, I am also really passionate about music. A few years ago I used to take it more seriously and tried getting gear to produce my own audio and music, but since my move to Colombia I’ve had to stick to the basics. A good enough mic, and my old timer audio interface. ...
